I had a great meeting today with the leadership at ALARM (African Leadership & Reconciliation Ministries). If you’re not familiar with their work you should definitely check out their website. They are doing some really great stuff in eight countries of east & central Africa.
We sat down to officially discuss what it might look like to create a more formal partnership. I went over the Hupomeno concept and tried to articulate how what we’re wanting to do will help the men, women & children they are serving in Africa.
We’re going to focus our efforts initially Uganda…with the women who are making the beaded jewelry. I’ve asked them to make some small changes to the design to make them more appealing for a western market place and the plan is to place an order for about 1000 units next month.
