Today while I enjoyed a cup of African Red Bush tea I finished Just Courage by Gary Haugen. There were a couple of paragraphs at the end that I really connected with as it relates to this whole Africa thing. Haugen discusses the time he left the U.S. Department of Justice to start International Justice [...]

Today I sent out a somewhat random list of documents for my work permit. I’m told that DHL is the most reliable carrier to ship to Tanzania & that they would get the docs by close of business on Monday (though I’m a bit skeptical). I discovered that it’s also not cheap to send an [...]

It’s 8:55 a.m. right now. Missy & Lilly are taking a nap. We’ve got about an hour before we are scheduled to meet with Joanna who will take us to look at some houses….at least hopefully! This will be the third attempt at going out to look at homes. We’re going to look in an [...]

Today we’re off to meet with the school officials at HOPAC (Haven of Peace Academy) – a Christian school started by missionaries about 15 years ago. After that we’re having dinner with the Larmeys at their house & in between meeting with an “agent” of sorts to look at homes. Should be a busy day.
