Five years ago today Missy & I found ourselves about to give birth outside of Baylor Hospital. After the birth of Daniel we were told that you can expect labor time to be cut in half for baby #2. So we did the math – Missy spent 16 hours in marathon labor with Daniel so we figured we had a good 8 hours of labor in front of us. Ughh….not so much buddy! You can sum that glorious day with two facts:

1. We left the house for the hospital at 12:05 p.m.
2. Just after 2 p.m. the nurse yelled “get a doctor in here stat” (which, as a side note, is never fun to hear) & at 2:09 p.m. sweet little Caroline came screaming into this world

And that’s kind of a reflection of her personality – fast and furious.  She is strong and determined.  She is passionate and purposeful.  She is beautiful in every way.

Happy birthday my sweet Caroline! Your daddy loves you very, very much and you are a tremendous gift from God!
